Vision

Take care of the most important things first, utilizing the resources we have available.

    •    Public Safety - including our Fire and Police Departments

    •    Utilities - water and sewer systems

    •    Infrastructure - Streets, easements, parks, etc.

Develop short- and long-term project goals to prepare the city for future growth and identify funding strategies to accomplish the objectives.

Bring Lavaca community leaders together to form meaningful action groups that can tackle bigger, long-term projects. There is strength in numbers. Let’s be who we are and build on our strengths.

Build on relationships with legislators, national, state and local government representatives, professional service providers, and others who can partner with Lavaca leaders to pursue and capture resources that will benefit our city.

Work on civic pride every single day.

Shine a spotlight and consistently repeat the story about the wonderful community we call home and welcome those who choose to be part of our success and happiness.
